Feb 20 2017BIG TRADE...at LEAST WE THINK SO
All-stars in any sport don't get traded very often, so it's notable when it does happen. That's especially true in the NBA. Now we have a biggie, with a "Boogie." DeMarcus Cousins goes from Sacramento to New Orleans, in exchange for...well...not much. Cousins is huge, and hugely talented. At 6-10 he averages 28 points and 11 rebounds a game, he's a 3-time All-star and an Olympic gold medalist. Now he's teamed with superstar Anthony Davis. Great stuff for the Pelicans, right? Um, maybe. But Boogie is also nuts, a whiner, a ballhog and the most immature 26-year old in the league. That's how you get 17 (!?) technical fouls. Now New Orleans goes big, in a league that's gone small. It may work, but I don't see it. And Cousins can be a free agent after next season. The Kings will always stink, I'm not sure the Pels got a lot better.
